DOT Sofia Art Collection
Integrating contemporary art into the spaces we inhabit is one of our greatest passions. Carefully selected works from the DOT Sofia Art Collection can be found throughout KOMAT Restaurant, as well as in every apartment and the shared spaces of DOT Sofia.
The DOT Sofia Art Collection is a private collection dedicated to contemporary Bulgarian art. Its selection is inspired by the wit and melancholic depth of the Bulgarian spirit, by the everyday realities of life in Bulgaria and beyond, and by our shared experience as urban nomads. The artworks explore empathy, coexistence, and the joy of living together in a world shaped by social, ethnic, political, and ethical contrasts. Through diverse artistic perspectives, the collection invites dialogue and fosters a sense of shared space and human connection.
The origins of the collection lie in the owners' long-standing interest in Bulgarian contemporary art, which began in the early 2000s. Their vision evolved into a dedicated collecting programme during the development of DOT Sofia. In 2019, curator and gallerist Vesselina Sarieva joined the project, marking the beginning of the collection in its present form. Since then, she has become an integral part of the DOT Sofia team, serving as Curator of the DOT Sofia Art Collection and Art Director, leading its artistic and cultural programme.
Today, the collection comprises more than 200 works by established and emerging Bulgarian contemporary artists, including many key works created from the late 1980s to the present day.
As of September 2025, the collection includes works by Desislava Terzieva, Dimitar Genchev, Dimitar Shopov, Kamen Stoyanov, Krasimir Terziev, Lachezar Boyadjiev, Maria Nalbantova, Martina Vacheva, Mihail Mihaylov, Mitch Brezunek, Nedko Solakov, Pravdoliyb Ivanov, Rudi Ninov, Stefan Nikolaev, Stella Vasileva, Svetlana Mircheva, Valyo Chenkov, Vikenti Komitski, Zara Alexandrova, and Zoran Georgiev.
