After the huge success of our summer Culinary pop-up and a short break, KOMAT Restaurant is back with another culinary challenge - the autumn edition of our pop-up collaborations.
We'll be open for lunch and dinner on Thursday, 5 September.
It's the time of the best harvest, and the season brings with it a feeling of endless abundance. The transition from summer to autumn gives us a chance to grab the best, because - isn't that right? - Every end is actually a new beginning... A rich palette of vegetables and local produce awaits us, and the smell of smoky peppers is already in the air :)
Autumn culinary pop-up begins with chef Nikola Krumov.
DOT Sofia is pleased to present an exhibition related to the exploration and documentation of the area where it is located - namely Old Sofia, Vuzrazhdane district and in particular the Women's Market.
The exhibition includes archival photographs from the last century of the Women's Market - the oldest market in the capital, photographed by Panayot Barnev and provided by the Bulgarian Visual Archive. The selection, curated by Tihomir Stoyanov and co-curated by Veselina Sarieva, offers a unique insight into the architectural, social and psychological aspects of life in this area in the 1970s.
We meet Diana Onishchenko, a waiter at the KOMAT restaurant, talking about the freedom to be yourself when you're in the right place. We take a look at summer cocktails, accompanied by good recommendations.
1100 chairs later, KOMAT is taking a well-deserved break. After a strong finish to the Culinary Pop-Up, we will be taking a short holiday from 13 August to the beginning of September.
Inspired by the variety of flavours and concepts, the KOMAT team has brought together the best of the four menus in our Summer Culinary Pop-Up, presenting them as 'Best-of' remarkable seasonal dishes! We're delighted to announce that between 31 July and 10 August, our garden will continue to smell fresh and our tables will once again exude a superb urban vibe.
We present one of the young and positive members of KOMAT team - Siyana Vukadinova, who turns customer service into an experience. Connecting with visitors is the starting point for a pleasant lunch or a long dinner but the choice of dessert is always her favourite part. It’s coming with the most interesting stories!
What do love and food have in common? Seeking inspiration, awakening the senses and touching the soul. The star tandem Elena and Nikolay Petreliyski will close the summer Culinary Pop-Up at KOMAT with a sea atmosphere and fresh products. We look forward to seeing them from 23 to 28 July!
We meet Martin Nikolov - the creator of “Circle” Bistro and the third participant in our Culinary pop-up - to talk about balance and the inseparable connection with nature, reflected in a simple and elegant menu.
This summer, DOT Sofia will take you to its inimitable 360° penthouse and rooftop terrace for a romantic city break: accommodation in a three-storey penthouse with impressive interiors, paired with fine dining and exclusive service on the only private rooftop in the heart of Sofia.
We meet Veselina Sarieva - curator of the DOT Sofia Art Collection and founder of the Sarieva Gallery - to talk about the relationship between art and space, about valuable encounters and like-minded people who are changing the environment.
Chef Alexander Gotsev, one of the founders of KOMAT, visited the restaurant in early July to share his summer gourmet concept for the upcoming Culinary Pop-up. Bohemian flair, friendly gatherings, fresh flavors, and good vibes - all of this for a truly "vital combination."
