We present one of the young and positive members of the KOMAT restaurant - Siyana Vukadinova, who turns customer service into an experience. Connecting with visitors is the starting point for a pleasant lunch or a long dinner but the choice of dessert is always her favourite part. It’s coming with the most interesting stories!
Hello Siyana! Tell us a little more about yourself.
Hello there! My name is Siyana, I'm 21 years old and I've been working at KOMAT for about 7-8 months. I am currently a third year Psychology student. I study and work - I try to combine both activities :)) I have always been interested in food - when I was a kid my favourite TV channel was cooking. I don't cook myself, but I love watching people do it.
What did you learn from Psychology about working with clients?
I think that attitude is the most important thing: how you relate to people and how you interpret their behaviour towards you. You don't always have to take it personally.
What is the most important thing in the client-service relationship?
Good attitude and trust - it's important that they feel comfortable while we're serving them. The waiter is the representative face of a restaurant, so they are a prominent part of the process.
What's your favourite moment in the service?
The choice of desserts! Customers are usually in the best mood and we can often have an interesting conversation. I love interacting with visitors - I always listen with interest to foreign customers telling me what brought them to Bulgaria and what they liked.
The food is...
An art.
And what is the relationship between food and art?
Our perception - food is perceived through all the senses, just like art. Both have the ability to bring people together, to unite them. They also create individual tastes that distinguish us.
What is the superpower of the KOMAT team?
The fact that we are young, cheerful and united. We also know how to anticipate our guests' needs.
